ISEZs local team to have access to constant power supply to cater for their basic needs at their remote villages in Kikori
ISEZ management has assisted CLOs and Ward Councillors with 16 new housing solar kits for their daily use and work updates.
This kit consists of a Panel Battery, Lithium-ion Battery, ultra-bright LED Pendant Lamp, light switch, USB Charging Ports and extension cable.
When asked how this solar kit will help them, frequent responses were “Now I don’t have to go far to charge my phone.” or “I’ll be able to connect multiple lights for different uses at night.”
By them having this kit now, it will enable frequent communication with the ISEZ management team in Port Moresby, because all CLOs will have their smartphones charged up daily to report and give updates unlike in recent occasions, where communication was an issue.
ISEZ Managing Director is happy to assist with this useful kit as it will solve many issues that the team have faced in the past.
“With them having this solar kit now, they don’t have to worry about going anywhere anymore to look for power to charge their phones or use the lights and lamps, basically everything they need to help them is available to them now and I am happy that ISEZ management can provide this to them, “says Mr. Kengemar.
ISEZ will continue to provide the basic needs for its people around the project location in anyway it can. People in Kikori are a step behind in terms of seeing big changes and having quality services at their fingertips, therefore, ISEZ project will continue show support to bring the people up to speed and be part of innovation and growth.
