CLOs and Ward Councillors assisted with basic medical check before heading back to project site
ISEZ local team consisting of 12 community Liaison officers and 4 ward counsillors were treated with their medical check-up over the weekend.
The team were attended to individually by ISEZ doctor, Dr. Maima at his clinic, checking and treating them according to their necessary conditions.
On behalf of the local team, one CLO spoke and said that they are very grateful, because majority of them rarely get private medical treatments that does an overall check-up throughout the course of their lives, until, being recruited by ISEZ project management last year.
“We appreciate management and staff of ISEZ for providing CLO with the medical support. We are very pleased with the Medicare. Medical expert was very kind and friendly. He was making sure that we are served and making sure that we are physically fit. He treated us according to our sick, and even though it was the weekend, he still made time available for us, “says Alfred (CLO member).
Port Moresby ISEZ Management office always priorities frequent medial services to any of its employees, considering that it is always essential to be at your best when performing your duties, especially being on site at a remote location where medical services is very limited.
ISEZ Managing Director Peter Kengemar assures that basic medical services will be provided to the surrounding and nearby local people when management team are on site later on this year, the team will be medically kitted and will provide for those in need.
ISEZ local team will depart tomorrow back to their respective villages all over Kikori District and continue carry out, update and educate people about the ISEZ project.
